2 Day CPO® Certification Course

This is a 2 day course that will help prepare you with the knowledge and skills to operate your pool safely and in a health manner for your patrons.

• You will gain knowledge on pool water chemistry, water filtration, recreational water illnesses, spa maintenance, chemical dosing, break point chlorination and methods to keep employees and patrons of swimming pools safe and healthy.
• This certification is accepted by the Florida Department of Health for certification. Chapter 64E-9 Florida Administrative Code, local public pool rule will be covered in this course.
• Must attend entire sessions and pass open book exam to be certified.
• Class is from 8:30 AM to 5 PM on both days.
• Students need to bring a calculator, highlighter and photo ID to class.
• Tuition includes CPO® Handbook and all supplemental class materials
• Lunch will be provided on both days.

Meet Your Instructor

Lauren Broom is the owner of Space Coast Pool School, LLC for the past 12 years. She is a PHTA® Authorized Instructor. She attended college at the University of Central Florida where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She holds her Registered Sanitarian, R.S. with the National Environmental Health Association (certification in public health). Lauren has 17 years of experience in the inspection of commercial public pools in Florida as an inspector from the Florida Department of Health along with recreational waterborne disease outbreak investigations. She enjoys educating aquatic professionals on the importance of maintaining a swimming pool facility for the health and safety of their patrons.
